HungryHungry merges with MOBI to create a leading B2B and consumer facing platform
HungryHungry merges with MOBI to create a leading B2B and consumer facing platform, enabling hospitality venues to engage with customers to generate lasting brand loyalty. Henslow is pleased to announce that we have advised the founders of HungryHungry on their merger with New Zealand based MOBI. The newly formed partnership will allow customer bases from both businesses to benefit from an improved technology platform by combining HungryHungry’s expertise in hospitality-focused software with MOBI’s enterprise-grade mobile technology solutions services. Together they service over 4,000+ venues across 15 countries including Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the USA.
HungryHungry, founded by Shannon Hautot and Mark Calabro in 2019, has quickly evolved from an ordering platform to a leading end to end hospitality platform combining digital menus, ordering and payments technology, focused on improving customer engagement and experience.
Founded in 2010, MOBI is the market leader in the mid-market enterprise category in Australia, New Zealand & Canada, processing over $500m in customer transactions. With a presence in more than 3,000 restaurants and hospitality businesses across Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the U.S, MOBI’s enterprise-grade solutions focus on helping clients increase revenue, improve customer experience, and regain control of their customer relationships.
Henslow previously advised Shannon Hautot and Mark Calabro on the sale of OrderMate to MSL Limited (ASX:MSL) – now part of Pemba investee company Oolio – and are pleased to have advised them again on HungryHungry’s merger with MOBI. We pride ourselves on working with founder-led businesses and are passionate about helping them along their growth journey. The merged business combines technologies and expertise which will provide the company with a competitive edge to become a leader in Australia and New Zealand, as well as internationally. Henslow assisted Shannon and Mark to navigate the complexities of a cross-border merger to successfully complete this deal. We look forward to seeing this significant partnership grow to become a leading technology provider for hospitality venues to engage with their customers. The merged group are well placed to continue to lead consolidation in the industry.
