Oaklins Global M and A Conference – Sydney 2026

Oaklins Henslow hosted the Oaklins Global M&A Conference in Sydney, bringing together M&A professionals from 45 different countries.

Against the backdrop of Sydney’s iconic harbour, global attendees took part in experiences that showcased the city, including dinner at the Opera House and a memorable cruise around the harbour.

A key highlight of the week was two days of client events, where the global Oaklins members engaged in interactive discussions with Australian private equity firms and listed and unlisted companies. With over 240 one-on-one meetings conducted over the two days with more than 70 clients, the event fostered valuable dialogue and generated meaningful insights into potential cross-border M&A activity. During the sessions we also heard from Oaklins Regional leads on M&A and sector thematics in their regions providing valuable insights for clients.

The client events also featured a series of keynote sessions with highly experienced investment professionals, providing insightful perspectives into the Australian & global market. We would like to thank Charlie Aitken (Group Investment Director at Regal Partners), Richard Price (Investment Committee Member at AustralianSuper & Advisory Board Member at Roc Partners), Justine O’Connell (Head of Portfolio Strategy at AustralianSuper), and Michael Lukin (Group Managing Partner and at Roc Partners) for their valuable contributions to the sessions.

Oaklins members also participated in strategy sessions, run by Javier Carvallo & Karada Sharpe of BTS, allowing members the opportunity to explore new approaches, share insights, and identify potential opportunities for expansion.
