Chris Tait
Chris has over 25 years professional experience in investment banking, strategy, mergers and acquisitions (both sell-side and buy-side), private capital raises and transaction structuring.
Chris has broad experience having worked across Australia, the UK and the US, however he has particular knowledge and expertise in retail, travel & tourism, services and technology.
Recent notable transactions include:
- Advised The Card Network on its sale to InComm Payments
- Advised InternMatch on their $10m capital raise via private placement to fund growth strategy
- Advised Sportsnet Holidays on its significant investment from US-based QuintEvents
Before co-founding Henslow, Chris was the APAC CFO as well as head of Strategy and Acquisitions for WHSmith Plc, where he led the acquisitions of the Australian based Angus and Robertson and New Zealand based Whitcoulls, culminating in the divestment of the combined business to a large private equity firm. Before this, Chris was a director at Deloitte in the UK and New York.
Chris is the chairman of Henslow’s investee companies, the ASX listed Atomos and privately held, Credo. Weekends are spent with his wife and four children interspersed with the occasional over 45’s soccer match.
